Gaslamp District, Black Mountain & Julien

Yesterday we took a trip into downtown's Gaslamp District via their light rail system; and my favorite place to get an ultimate sundae, Ghirardelli.  Many places to chow down, we chose Barleymash.  They had the best mac&cheese recipes I've ever seen.  So delicious.

Today we woke early to meet Sue & Jessica for a hike at Black Mountain.  Beautiful morning for it and good short hike.  Afterward we headed to a small town called Julien.  Famous for their apple everything, we had some delish apple pie and checked out the shops.  Really neat place.  Thank you Sue & Jess!  Fun day!
