Today was a bit rough. Last night we saw that their was some sort of on again off again leak from the engine. Ed thought it was oil, although perplexed because it wasn't thick enough and the rate at which it dripped. I was sure by the smell it was diesel (Ed has almost completely lost his scent for the stuff.) We took off from the rogue valley and stopped at a rest stop just north of Mt. Shasta. Leak. We decided to mush forward. Just after Mt. Shasta we decided to turn around and head home. Stopping at the same rest stop opposite side, we pretty much figured it out, tightening a fuel hose. Driving back in to Weed, stopping at an auto parts store to get some replacement supplies, it completely stopped leaking. Good grief, but woohoo.
Didn't make it anywhere near today's destination of Napa. Staying at Rolling Hills Casino. Enjoyed the old folks buffet for half price and even got a $10 player's card for free and Ed won back the cost of dinner plus change! Fabulous showers and nice trailer park.
