Napa to Bakersfield to San Diego

The first half of the drive to Bakersfield was filled with large rolling green hills on our right

and flat land crops as far as the eye could see on our left.  The second half was a complete yawn with flat lands on both sides!
Once in Bakersfield it was a quick trip to the grocery for guac dip and back for the Hawks game. And what a game! SEA HAWKS!
It was raining when we pulled into Bakersfield and raining when we left. But it wasn't long before we were at the mountains outside Angeles National Forest and the rain stopped.

Thank goodness the rain stayed away through LA...worst highways ever, as well as drivers.  After LA (at least we think after LA because the city never actually stops through to San Diego) it started raining again.  We finally reached the Pacific and saw some of the places we stayed while sailing down the coast.
The rain hasn't stopped as of this writing as we watch the final quarter of the Bronco/Colt game at our RV park Rancho Los Coches outside San Diego.
